Youth rapes married woman outside Sambalpur city railway station, detained

Sambalpur: With no respite in sight from growing violence against women in the State, a married woman has been raped by a youth outside the City Railway Station yesterday.

The victim lodged a case at Dhanuapalli Police Station in connection with the case today.

As per the complaint, the victim was waiting for a train at the platform when the accused dragged her to a secluded place and outraged her modesty.

While Dhanuapalli Police has detained the accused of late, it has not disclosed his identity to media yet.

Further investigation is underway into the incident.
