Bargarh: Locals nabbed a youth at Barapali in the district for allegedly intimidating the Sarpanch of Mahada panchayat on gun point this afternoon. Locals have handed over the youth to the Barapali police station.
The victim identified as Narayan Pradhan alleged that the miscreant intimated him on gunpoint. “He came on a motorcycle and stopped right in front of me. Later he whipped out a pistol and kept me on gun point. However, locals rushed to my rescue and we managed to nab him. I have never seen the youth before,’ said Pradhan.
Later the mob assaulted the youth and set his motorcycle on fire. Police said that they are interrogating the youth to ascertain the motive behind the incident.
