Baripada: In yet another case of water mishap in the State, a youth was drowned to death in a canal in Musabani area under Rairangpur Rural police limits.
Body of the deceased identified as Jidmohan Behera of Kaduani village was recovered near the Raja Bandha embankment of a village canal this morning.
Family members of the deceased informed that, he had slipped into the water body and gone missing while taking bath last evening. However, his body was seen floating in the water near Raja Bandha this morning by some locals who called up police.
Police have sent the body for autopsy after recovery and started an investigation into the incident.
