Keonjhar: A youth met watery grave after slipping into a pond in Purumunda village under Pandapada police limits in Keonjhar district last evening.
The deceased has been identified as Jatikrushna Behera of the same village.
As per the family members of the deceased he had been to attend nature’s call to a field in the village last night and didn’t return till late. His body was spotted floating in Puruna Pokhari by some locals late in the night.
Though the victim was rushed to Harichandanpur Community Health Centre (CHC) in a 108 ambulance immediately, doctors declared him brought dead.
A pal of gloom has descended on the village post the mishap.
