Youth loses both legs in train accident in Balasore

Balasore: In a tragic railway track mishap, a youth got both his legs amputated after coming under the wheels of a speeding train near Somanathpur railway station under Soro police limits last night.

The victim has been identified as Gulshan Sahu (22), son of Gobardhan Sahu of Anji village under the same police limits.

As per the report, Gulshan was spotted in a pool of blood by the side of the Somanathpur railway track by some locals at around 11.30 am last night. While both of the legs of the victim were found severed in train accident he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

Later, as the victim’s condition turned critical due to excess bleeding he was shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack for better treatment.

Police have lodged a case in the accident and started an investigation.
