Kendrapara: In yet another road mishap in the State, a youth was killed after a speeding truck hit his bike head-on near Hajari Chhak on NH-5 (A) today.
The deceased has been identified as Jeetendra Raul, a resident of Tubihuda village under Kendrapara Sadar police limits.
The victim was en-route to a nearby village riding his bike this morning when the mishap took place. Near Hajari Chhak driver of a speeding truck which was traveling in the opposite direction lost control over the wheels and drove extremely right to hit his bike from the front.
A critically injured Jeetendra was first rushed to Kendrapara DHH by some locals for treatment soon after the crash but doctors declared him brought dead.
Police reached the spot and seized the mangled bike to register a case later in the morning.
