Youth killed during feast in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district

Jagatsinghpur: In a shocking incident a youth was allegedly killed during a feast in this district of Odisha last Sunday. A headless body of which, the hands and legs have been chopped, was later recovered from a canal in Machhagan. This body was identified by family members as that of the deceased, Police said.

The deceased has been identified as Rama Chandra Sahu, the only son of Ramesh Chandra Sahu of Badabaga village.

As per reports, on last Sunday Rama had participated in a feast organised in the house of Keshab Behera. Prashanta Behera, Babi, Keshab Behera and his wife Reena were present in the feast.

As per the complaint filed by mother of the deceased in the Police station, after the party was over argument started between Rama and Keshab and Prashanta and later Rama was killed by others.

Later the body part of the deceased was recovered from the canal.

Police have detained three persons in this connection and probing the case. Tension has prevailed in the village. The villagers have demanded punishment for the culprits.
