Gajapati: In a tragic incident, a young boy has been killed by his fraternal uncle in Gajapati district of Odisha. The incident took place in Kamalapur village under Mohana police limits in Gajapati on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Biswanath Nayak and the accused has been identified as Bhushan Nayak.
According to reports, a heated argument took place between Bhushan and Biswanath at around 8pm last night. While Biswanath hit Bhushan with a wooden stick, Bhushan attacked Biswanath with an axe on his neck.
The locals immediately rushed him to Chandragiri hospital. However, he was shifted to Berhampur hospital as his condition deteriorated.
The doctor pronounced Biswanath brought dead.
On being informed, Mohana police arrived at the spot and initiated a further investigation into the matter. Bhusan has been detained by the police and is being interrogated.
