Mohana: In a tragic incident a youth was killed while eight others sustained critical injury in a road accident that took place in Gajapati district of Odisha on Tuesday. The vehicle met the accident near Guar village under R Udaygiri Police Station.
The deceased person has been identified as 19 year old Dilesh Neni of Rebidi village.
As per reports, about 15 people were on their way to the weekly market in Nuagarh in a Tata Magic vehicle from Rebidi village. When the vehicle was passing through Gaur village the driver somehow lost control over the steering and the vehicle met an accident.
As a result of the accident, while one person was killed on the spot, another eight persons sustained grievous injury. The injured persons were shifted to Khajuripada health centre by Ambulance.
After being alerted, R Udaygiri Police rushed to the spot and seized the dead body and sent it for autopsy. Investigation of the case is underway.
