Nayagarh: In a sad incident, a youth went missing after allegedly jumping into River Mahanadi in Nayagarh district of Odisha on Friday. As per the locals, he jumped into the River off the bridge at Siddhamula area under Khandapada Police limits in the district.
Identity of the youth is yet to be ascertained while he is said to be from Kanpur area of Narasinghpur.
As per reports, the youth jumped into the water of River Mahanadi at Siddhamula area off the bridge today at about 11 am in the morning. Following the incident the onlookers crowded the place while the youth or his body is yet to be recovered.
After getting alerted, Fire fighters from Kanpur reached the spot. Rescue operation to trace out the youth is underway. By the time this report was written, the youth was yet to be traced out.
