Baripada: A 25-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl at Bangiriposi in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.
The arrestee has been identified as Prashant Mahanta. He hails from Kantashola village under Bangiriposi police limits.
As per reports, Mahanta molested the minor girl on the pretext of accompanying her to a nearby grocery shop.
Following a complaint by the victim, the Bangiriposi police arrested Sahu, who has been feigning innocence. He has been produced in the court and a molestation case has been registered against him.
Further investigation is underway.
