Baripada: In a shameful incident, a youth was arrested by police for allegedly misbehaving with his minor niece in Kuliana village under Mayurbhanj district yesterday.
The held accused has been identified as Milu Singh.
As per the report, the 10-year-old minor girl who lives with her grandmother in the village was alone at home when the accused reached near her and tried to sexually assault in the afternoon. As the victim raised an alarm and managed to gather some neighbours the attacker escaped from the spot.
Later, based on the complaint filed by the victim’s grandmother police took Milu into custody from his house.
The accused has been forwarded to the court of late.
