Balangir: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself from the branch of a tree in Indira Nagar area in Balangir town this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Alok Rath.
As per the neighbours of the deceased, he used to indulge in verbal duel with his wife in past over certain issues which took an ugly turn last night. While Alok returned home drunk, his wife protested it and a heated exchange of words took place. While the deceased went to bed later, his body was found hanging to from a tree near his home this morning.
It is being suspected that the victim hung himself to death in the wee hours today.
Police reached the spot later this morning and started investigation after sending the deceased’s body for autopsy.
