Rourkela: Tension prevailed in Samara slum under Sector-22 of the Steel City today after a local youth was found dead from a field under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased has been identified as Susil Oram (25).
Susil, who went out of his home located in the slum last night didn’t return home till late following which his family members launched a frantic search in the area. However, he was spotted lying in a field located near IDL police outpost under Tangarapali police limits by some locals.
Police rushed to the spot later in the day and conducted the preliminary investigation before sending the body for autopsy. Grievous injury marks were found on the abdomen, neck and head of the body.
While the post-mortem report is awaited locals have suspected that Susil might have been murdered as a few days back he had threatened a group of boys in the slum to eliminate over a dispute.
