Berhampur: A youth has been killed by unidentified miscreants at a ‘dhaba’ (roadside eatery) in Gobind Nagar under Golanthara police limits in Ganjam district last night.
The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
The murder came to fore this morning after some staff of the Shyama Dhaba spotted the deceased lying on a cot outside the eatery this morning and called up police. Grievous injury mark, suspected to be caused by an attack with stone, was found on the face of the deceased.
Police reached the spot later in the morning and seized the body for autopsy at MKCG Hospital in Berhampur.
While the motive of the miscreants behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, police suspect a past rivalry in the incident.
