Keonjhar: A youth was electrocuted to death in Rampakot village in Pithagola panchayat in Ghatagaon block here on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Bibek Sahoo, son of Brahmanand Sahoo.
As per reports, Bibek was toiling in the garden area behind their house. However, due to some unforeseen situation, he came in touch with 11 KV power line. He was electrocuted and suffered grievous injuries.
The youth was immediately rushed to nearby Harichandanpur Community Health Centre where he was declared ‘brought dead’.
Upon receiving information, local police rushed to the health centre and sent the body for autopsy. They have also begun a detailed investigation in the matter.
