Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident a youth was electrocuted to death and his father turned critical after coming in contact with a high voltage power transmission line in Gengutia village in Dhenkanal district.
The deceased has been identified as Jitendra Nayak.
As per the report, the mishap took place in the morning while Jitendra along with his father Joginath Nayak was busy in roofing their thatched house. Unknowingly the duo touched a low-hanging 11 kv livewire over the roof and received electric shock.
While Jitendra died on the spot his father was rushed to Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in critical conditions by family members.
