Keonjhar: A youth has been electrocuted to death at Patna block main office in Keonjhar district of Odisha while two others are under medical treatment in a critical condition. The deceased has been identified as Sundar Majhi of Rengalabeda village.
Reportedly, Rajat Kumar Kar along with Rahasa Nayak (65) were carrying the iron rods above to the roof of Patna block main office. During this, Majhi was also present at the spot to help them.
Thereafter, Sundar came in contact with a 11 kv electric wire near the iron rods and lost his life on the spot while the two other people were rushed by the locals to a hospital in critical condition for immediate medical treatment.
Soon after the immediate treatment, Rahasa’s health condition improved while Rajat was shifted to District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) as his health deteriorated.
The local police have initiated a probe into the matter.
