Rairangpur: In a shocking incident, a youth cudgelled his father to death in Dobha village under Badampahar Police Station in Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Gopal Nayak, a resident of the same village.
As per the report, a verbal duel erupted between Gopal and his son namely Jeeten Nayak over a petty incident. As the argument escalated further, Jeeten lost cool and attacked his father mercilessly.
A critically injured Gopal died on the spot post the attack.
Badampahar Police reached the spot and seized the body of the deceased for autopsy after arresting the accused.
