Berhampur: In a shocking incident a youth sustained critical bullet injury after being shot at by none other than his uncle in Damodarpur village under Digapahandi block over a family feud this morning.
The victim has been identified as Sanatan Mallick.
As per the report, a verbal duel erupted between Sanatan and his uncle (mother’s brother) Dandasia Nayak over certain issue this morning which later escalated into a heated argument. In a fit of rage, the accused took out a revolver and fired several rounds of bullet at the victim before fleeing from the spot.
The victim was immediately rushed to MKCG Hospital in Berhampur in critical condition where his condition is stated to be critical.
K Nuagaon Police has reached the spot and started investigation into the case.
