Nuapada: In a shocking incident, a youth committed suicide by jumping before a running truck in Nuapada town here last night.
The deceased has been identified as Raju Sabar, a resident of Mahuabhatta village under Nuapada Sadar police limits.
As per the report, Raju arrived in Nuapada town in some work last evening and was moving suspiciously before Sadar Police limits when suddenly jumped before a moving truck to commit suicide. He was killed after his head got crushed under the wheels of the speeding truck.
Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy immediately to lodge a case of unnatural death.
While it is still not clear why the victim took the extreme step, the case is currently under investigation.
