Jajpur: In an incident pointing at the degrading law and order situation in the Jajpur, unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at the vehicle of Dharmasala block youth BJD president Prasanna Kumar Rout leaving him injured this morning.
As per the report, Rout was on his way to some work in a nearby village when the miscreants struck near Nakapul Bazar under Dharmasala police limits. After intercepting Rout’s car they targeted it with a number of country made bombs and fled from the spot.
While the front glass of the car was damaged in the attack, the youth leader sustained injury on his right hand and was immediately rushed to Dharmasala Hospital by some supporters who were accompanying him at the time of the incident.
While a written complaint have been registered with the local police in the case, it had started investigation into the incident.
It is being suspected that the youth leader might have fallen prey to a past enmity.
