Youth beaten to death on main road in Ganjam district

Berhampur: A youth was beaten to death on the main road in Odisha’s Gnajm district today. The deceased has been identified as Shiv Behera of Khalasi Sahi in Berhampur.

Behera was reportedly found dead in a pool of blood on the main road near Antei village under the Digapahandi Police Station limits of the district.

A team of police led by Berhampur SP Sarvana Vivek M and Digapahandi IIC Dipti Ranjan Behera rushed to the spot after getting information about the crime and sent Behera’s body to Berhampur Hospital for postmortem.

While the criminals who are involved in the crime are yet to be identified, it is suspected that Behera was beaten to death as grave injury marks were found on his chest and head.
