Nayagarh: In a shameful incident, a married woman was abducted and raped under captivity for three days by a youth in Patiamala village under Chandpur police limits in Nayagarh district.
Police have arrested the accused identified as Swapna Sagar Rout alias Tulu of the same village.
As per the complaint filed by the victim woman in the case, Rout knocked on her door and asked from drinking water on October 27. After she opened the door, the accused dragged her out and forcibly took to Keshapur area of Ganjam to sexually assault for three days at a secluded place.
The incident came to light after the victim escaped from the custody of the accused and reported the matter to Chandapur Police a couple of days back.
Police arrested Rout on the basis of the FIR and forwarded to court after medical examination today.
