Young Technical writer receives award from Governor

Bhubaneswar: Young Odia technical writer Sagar Pradhan has lately been awarded by the Governor of Odisha for his book “Internet of Things”. Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal handed over the trophy at the Governor’s house in Bhubaneswar.

The award (“Token of Appreciation”) which Sagar received reads as follows:

“This certificate is proudly presented to Sri Sagar Pradhan in recognition of his effort resulting in such a high level of writing through wide experiences and research in terms of technology and artificial intelligence, which is recently published through his book named “Internet of Things”.

I value what you have done and continue to do. Thank You.”

Twenty-seven year old Sagar, a native of village Adhanga Mallikeswarpur in Kendrapada district has graduated in B.Tech and MBA. He was a senior engineer with Infosys Limited and before that he worked as a consultant at the Electronics Corporation of India Limited. Prior to that, the techie held position as a senior lecturer at the Computer Application Centre in Odisha. Presently he is working as the Tech Lead for Cognizant at Bangalore.

Sagar has achieved much at a young age. He is the member of a number of national and international research organisations. He is a member of IoT Council, Europe, International Association of Engineers, Hong Kong, ORCID, USA and ResearchGate, USA. He is also a member of IAENG Society of Computer Scientists, Hong Kong, IAENG Society of Soft Computing and Research, Hong Kong and IAENG Society of Mathematics, Hong Kong. He has also worked as a Coordinator at AISEC, IIT Kharagpur.

So far Pradhan has three published books to his credit. Besides, more than 27 of his research papers have been published in different national and international journals. His book on ‘Internet of Things’ has been widely appreciated.

Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enable these things to connect, collect and exchange data. IoT is an emerging topic of technical, social and economic significance. Due to its growing demand the same has been introduced across all the leading technical universities of Odisha including Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), SOA University and Utkal University this year.
