Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a girl allegedly attempted to commit suicide by slitting her throat in Anandapur area of Keonjhar district.
The young woman has been identified as a 20-year-old of Kanpur village under Ghasipura Police limits of the district.
While the exact reason what prompted the girl to take the extreme step is yet to be known, she was initially admitted by her family members at Anandapur Hospital for treatment. However, later she was shifted to the Cuttack-based SCB Medical College and Hospital as her condition deteriorated further.
Ghasipura Police has, meanwhile, started an investigation into the matter.
