Khordha: The decapitated body of a woman, along with the severed head, was found lying on railway tracks near Chandiapala village under Begunia Police limits in Khordha.
As per reports, some locals spotted the dead body at around 6.30 am on Wednesday morning. The woman’s head was lying on the other side of the railway track, a little away from the body. This has given rise to speculations that she might have been run over by a train.
On receiving a tip-off from locals, the Police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter and nature of the woman’s death. Meanwhile, the identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained.
Noteworthy, this is second such incident to have taken place within a fortnight. Earlier, dismembered body parts of a college girl were found on railway tracks at Haripur Gram Railway station under Delang block in Puri district, 3 km from Khurda Road junction.
