Koraput: Tension ran high in Musinguda village under Semiliguda police limits in the district today after body of a woman was found lying under a tree under suspicious circumstances.
The incident came to light after some locals who visited the Haladipahad area in the morning found the deceased lying in salwar-kameez. A stole was also seen wrapped around her necks and tied to a nearby tree. The locals immediately called up police and reported the matter.
A police team led by Sunabeda SDPO Narahari Nayak reached the spot and conducted the preliminary investigation. It rushed the body for autopsy to Koraput Medical later.
“While the circumstantial evidences points at foul play in the incident, the truth would be revealed only after the autopsy of the body,” said Nayak.
