Puri : A woman tourist got a new lease of life after two Life Guards saved her from drowning in the sea here in Odisha on Thursday morning.
The rescued woman tourist has been identified as Nilabati Sahoo, wife of Ramakanta Sahoo of Tihidi in Bhadrak district.
Sahoo was swept away by strong water current, while taking bath in the sea beach near Swargadwar in the holy city at around 6.25 AM.
Soon after, two on-duty Life Guards-G Chakradhar and K Ajit dove into the sea to rescue Sahoo.
Her condition was stable, when the last reports came in.
