Bhawanipatna: Tightening the noose around the necks of corrupt officials in the district Vigilance department sleuths raided the residences of Rinja Sarpanch under Karlamunda block today for amassing disproportionate assets.
As per the report, simultaneous raids were conducted by anti-corruption bureau officials at the residence of the accused sarpanch Bhogabanti Sahu, located at Kusurla and her in-laws’ house at Takarumala area.
During the raid which was conducted under the supervision of Kalahandi Vigilance DSP Satyaban Mahananda, the officials checked various important documents including bank passbook and land records.
While the raid is continuing, the Vigilance Department sources have maintained that the exact amount of disproportionate asset seized will be revealed only after its completion.
