Woman RI In Odisha Under Vigilance Scanner, See Details

Koraput: Revenue Inspector (RI) of Dudhari R.I Circle under Semliguda Tahasil, of Koraput district has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance.

The lady has been identified as Khirabdi Tanaya Swain.

She has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance on November 18 (i.e. Today) while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/-

According to the allegations of the complainant she had taken the bribe for submission of report under rehabilitation assistance scheme of the Government and to complete it.

In this connection to this, Koraput Vigilance has registered a case.

Investigation in progress against Swain. Simultaneous searches have been launched on properties of Swain at two places in Koraput district.

Government head clerk under vigilance scanner, raids have been conducted at various places due to various allegations against him.

The above mentioned head clerk was working in the office of Sub-Collector at Sonepur district in Odisha on Thursday.

The government employee has been identified as Ramesh Nag.

He has landed in the vigilance net over charges of accumulating disproportionate assets.

Officials of the anti-corruption agency are conducting simultaneous searches at various locations including residence and office of the clerk.

It is noteworthy, simultaneous house searches had also been conducted on an Assistant Engineer working with Rural Development department in Ranpur of Nayagarh district today.

The Assistant Engineer has been identified as Rusinath Baral the search is being conducted by the Odisha Vigilance.

The search has been conducted in four places of the following districts namely: Khordha, Nayagarh and Dhenkanal.

In order to carry out the raid, four teams have been formed which were led by four DSPs, eight inspectors and other staff.

These teams are conducting searches on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets.

Till now, one plot, one four wheeler, one  2-wheeler and cash of Rs 1, 30, 000 has been unearthed so far.

Raid is in progress at both the employees house. Detailed report will follow soon.

    Government should frame law for imposing hanging death sentence on corrupt government officials otherwise corruption/taking bribe will not be stopped.
