Cuttack: In a major breakthrough, a woman Maoist cadre was killed in an encounter between the security forces and the naxals in the Madanpur Rampur area in Kalahandi district of Odisha on Friday. Odisha Police intimated about it.
As per reports, Kalahandi Police had launched a multi-party operation based on reliable intelligence in M Rampur Police Station area on Friday afternoon. There was an Exchange of Fire (EoF) between the security forces and the ultras and one cadre was neutralised. Operation has been intensified.

Besides body of the Maoist, many incriminating Maoist articles, camp articles, and live ammunition have been recovered from the spot.
Conveying the matter on Twitter Odisha DGP appealed the Maoists of Odisha to surrender. He wrote, “I appeal to all Maoists of Odisha to surrender with arms and join national mainstream. Odisha Govt has a generous surrender and rehabilitation Policy.”
