Koraput: The incident took place at Jagannathpur village under Ambaguda police limits in Jeypore of Koraput district last night where a woman allegedly hacked her father-in-law to death over a family feud.
As per the report, the accused had an argument with her father-in-law Chakra Jani (50) over some petty family matter last night. Enraged, she allegedly pierced a long iron into the belly of the deceased killing him on the spot.
The matter came to light after the neighbours spotted, Chakra lying dead in a pool of blood in the following morning.
On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter. Police registered a case against the accused woman and later arrested her.
It has been learned that the husband of the accused died ten years ago.
