Nabarangpur: An elderly woman died in a bear attack in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district. The incident took place at Sindhiguda forest.
The forest officials found it difficult to recover the body since the bear was guarding it throughout.
Sources say, the deceased Gori Amanatya aged around 70yrs had gone to the forest two days back, but did not return. Her relatives searched for her but had no luck.
The locals then informed the forest officials who launched a search operation and the body was found in the forest with a bear guarding it.
The forest officials scared off the bear with a lot of effort and finally recovered the body. The body had been torn apart and according to the last available reports the head is still missing.
