Anandapur: In a tragic incident, a woman succumbed to death while her husband sustained injuries after paddy sacks slipped and fell on them in Anandapur of Keonjhar district in Odisha.
The deceased has been identified as Jaan and her husband Magua Ho. Both of them were inhabitants of Bahiyabaranda village under Anandapur police limits.
According to reports, Magua and Jaan were sleeping in their house last night when sacks of paddy in the room slipped off and fell on them. Hearing the screams of the couple the family members rescued the couple and rushed them to hospital.
The doctors treating Jaan declared her dead after preliminary check, while Magua who sustained critical injuries is under treatment.
