Sambalpur: A woman along with her daughter were killed and two others in her family sustained critical injury during a wall collapse which took place in Dengsargi village under Ainthapali police limits last night.
The deceased mother-daughter duo has been identified as Chanchala Pradhan and her daughter Bhagya Pradhan.
The mishap took place during heavy rain which lashed the village last night. At around 1 AM, an under-construction building located in the neighbourhood caved in and fell on the victim’s house causing it to collapse also.
While Chanchala died getting crushed under the debris of the collapsed house her daughter succumbed while being rushed to a nearby hospital.
Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for autopsy.
