Sundergarh: In a shocking incident a woman along with her daughter were charred to death in a fire mishap at her house in Bhasma area of Sundergarh district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Golapi Meher (60) and Laxmi Meher (35).
As per the report, the victim duo was asleep at their thatched house when sparks erupted late in the night. After getting suffocated in the smoke caused by the fire they were later burnt to death.
Police rushed to the spot after getting intimation on the incident and sent the bodies for autopsy.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
