Khordha: A woman sustained critical injuries after a wall collapsed and fell on her in Begunia area in Khordha district on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as Shantilata Biswal of Dangarpada village.
As per the report, Shantlata was busy in her daily household chores at home when a portion of a wall which had weakened due to incessant rain since yesterday caved.
The victim sustained grievous injuries after coming under the rubble of the collapsed wall and was rushed to Khordha District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment.
Notably, incessant rain lashed Khordha since yesterday throwing life out of gear completely. Other parts of the State also received heavy rain triggered by a well-marked low-pressure over the Bay of Bengal.
