Kamakhyanagar: A woman sustained critical burn injury in a fire which broke out at her house in Bahada village under Kamakhyanagar police limits in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as Padmabati Sahu.
As per the report, the victim was preparing tea in the kitchen this morning when her saree caught fire due to her negligence.
Family members of Padmabati swung into action immediately and tried to douse the flames.
The victim was later rushed to Kamakhyangar Sub Divisional hospital for treatment and then shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack due to critical condition.
