Baripada: A woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband at Nabara village under Udala police station limits in Mayurbhanj district last night.
As per reports, the deceased identified as Basanti Ho had an argument with her husband Rasae Ho over a petty issue. Enraged over the argument, the husband beat Basanti to death and later escaped from the spot.
The body was spotted by the elder brother of Rasae who immediately informed the police. Police have started an investigation after the mother of the victim lodged a formal complaint.
“Both of them used to have frequent arguments over petty issues. We have been trying to sort out their differences but failed to do so,” said the mother of the victim.
