Woman Assaulted In Nayagarh On The Direction Of Village Court

Nayagarh: In another instance of the cruelty of Kangaroo court, a woman was allegedly thrashed late last night for failing to pay the fine imposed on her by villagers of Udayapur in the district.

As per reports, theft of gold ornaments took place in the house of one Bhagaban Behera of the village a few days ago.

Subsequently, a Kangaroo Court of the village hired two sorcerers to nab the accused involved in the crime. The sorcerers also suggested performing a ritual in which a cot is moved in and around the village.
