Winter sets in Odisha, Many districts experience dense fog

Bhubaneswar: The winter chill has started making its presence felt as intense cold wave along with dense fog have gripped several districts. According to reports, Kalahandi has recorded a low of 11°C while Daringbadi  recorded 15 °C and Phulbani recorded 17°C.

The people of Odisha have been found in parks and stadiums for morning walk, exercises as well as for doing yoga. The temperatures have started to fall especially during the night.

The minimum temperature in the interior parts of State remains between 17° to 19° Celsius whereas the night temperature in coastal areas of Odisha have been recorded between 18° and 21° Celsius.

Although the onset of monsoon season arrived during its normal time in Odisha this year, it started withdrawing very late. The weather will remain dry in the State till October 28, added reports.

However according to the Regional Meteorological Department (MeT), the winter chill is expected to be felt soon in Odisha.
