Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actor Sritam Das on Tuesday was grilled by the officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for his alleged link with a chit fund company.

“I answered every question they (ED officials) asked me. To my knowledge we had spent around Rs 50-55 lakh for film ‘Tu Tha Mu Jauchi Rusi’, but I don’t know from where Triveni Mohanty, producer of the film, had got the money which he had invested in the movie,” said Das after his seven hours of questioning by the ED.

“I was summoned as Triveni Mohanty is at large. I appeared as the director of the film and will cooperate with ED in the investigation process,” he added.

He further said, “I was not aware about chit fund money being used in my movie and if it is established, I will return the money.”

Das was questioned for his alleged link with Star Consultancy Chief Triveni Mohanty on chit fund money used for his Odia film ‘Tu Tha Mun Jauchi Rushi’ Odia movie in 2010.

Mohanty had allegedly invested the money of Chit Fund investors in the movie through his firm Star Consultancy.

The ED had served a notice to the actor earlier to appear before it.
