Sambalpur: A parade of wild elephants created havoc in Munder and Brahmanipali villages under Sadar forest range of Sambalpur district in Odisha.
According to reports, the wild jumbos have entered into villagers houses and caused excessive damage to their furniture.
The elephants also broke the windows of the houses with the help of their trunks and threw away many household items through the broken window.
The locals were in panic and spent the night in fear of the elephants.
However, villagers alleged that the Sambalpur Forest Department were not taking adequate steps needed in order to find a permanent solution to the problem.
