Berhampur: An elephant was found dead near Kalingapadar forest area under Tarasingh forest range in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Friday.
Locals spotted the tuskar lying in a pool of blood. There were several injury marks in its body, informed locals.
On being informed, forest officials reached the spot and started investigation in this connection.
The reason behind the death of the elephant was yet to be ascertained, officials said.
