Jagatsinghpur: The wife-to-be of Tirtol MLA Bijaya Shankar Das on Saturday lodged an FIR against him at Jagatsinghpur police station for avoiding marriage.
According to reports, Bijaya Shankar Das had allegedly assured the wife-to-be, who has been identified as Somalika, to marry her. However, as he did not turn up for the wedding yesterday, she filed a police complaint against him today.
In her FIR, Somalika has accused the MLA of cheating and harassment. Besides, she claimed that Bijaya Shankar’s relatives are issuing threats to her and her family members. However, she said that police would take appropriate action and give her justice.
