Widespread rainfall likely in Odisha for next 3 days

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Metrological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Saturday forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Odisha till June 30.

In its latest bulletin, the Met Dept also issued yellow weather warning for several districts in the state for next three days.

Day 1

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Sonepur, Boudh, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Khordha, Keonjhar,Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal till 8.30 AM on June 28.

Day 2

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj from 8.30 AM on June 28 to 8.30 AM on June 29.

The weathermen also predicted thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha,Kandhamal, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal during the period.

Day 3

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara Bhadrak and Balasore from 8.30 AM on June 29 to 8.30 AM on June 30.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall has occurred at many places over the districts of North Odisha and at one or two paces over the districts of South Odisha with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over the district of Keonjhar and heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Dhenkanal and Angul of North Interior in last 24 hours, the midday bulletin said.
