Update WhatsApp first

To take advantage of the payment service, first of all you update WhatsApp. Open WhatsApp after it is updated. After this, now tap on the menu or three dot icons on the right. Here you will see a new payment option. After going to payment, you have to tap on Add Payment Method. After this, tap on Accept and Continue. After this you will now get a list of banks from which to choose.

Must create UPI PIN

After selecting the bank, your number (linked to the bank account) will be verified. An SMS will be sent to your number for verification. So keep in mind that your WhatsApp number should be the same which is linked to the bank account. After the verification process is complete, you need to set a UPI PIN, which is used at the time of payment.

Send amount in just one click

After selecting a bank and creating a UPI PIN, sending money via WhatsApp is as easy as sending a message. For this, open WhatsApp and go to the contact you want to send money to. Now when you tap on the attached icon below, the option of payment will also appear along with the gallery and document. Now type in the amount of money you want to send. After this, the money will go after inserting UPI PIN.

Partnership with these banks

WhatsApp Pay is a payment service of UPI based WhatsApp. Philahal WhatsApp Pay is working with HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank and Airtel Payments. Through this, users can link their UPI-enabled bank account and send money through WhatsApp. WhatsApp Pay was being tested in India since February. Now after approval from NPCI, it has been released for all users.

Keep these things in mind

WhatsApp Pay is a UPI based digital payment service. In such a situation, one needs to be careful while transacting. Do not share UPI PIN with anyone. In case of overdose of account or failure of payment, please inform the customer care immediately. Recently, NPCI has fixed 30% of the total transaction limit for payment services companies. In such a situation, only 30% of the total transaction can be done through any one UPI based payment service.
