Ganjam: Five people have been arrested in connection with the charges of awarding inhuman punishment to a young man and woman in Ganjam district.
This incident has been reported from Sharabadi panchayat of Kaliapalli village under Badgarh police station limits in Ganjam district of Odisha.
On Women’s Day i.e. March 8, a video of a married young man from the village walking around the village wearing slippers on suspicion of having an affair with another woman in the village went viral.
The police have taken strict action against this inhuman act and have detained and questioned five people in this regard.
It is noteworthy that, the woman who was punished has four children and the man has two children.
