Balangir: Infamous Patnagarh wedding gift blast case accused, Punjilal Meher was rushed to government medical college and hospital here today morning after felling sick.
As per the report, the accused who is currently cooling his heels behind the bars at Balangir Jail reported sickness related to starvation this morning. He was on a hunger strike protesting his shifting to Patnagarh Sub-Jail to Balangir.
While the doctors treating the former English Lecturer of Jyoti Vikash College in Patnagarh said he is out of danger, they also made clear it that the sickness has been caused due to prolonged starvation.
Notably, Punjilal was shifted to Balangir Jail on February 8 after he made a failed attempt to escape from Patnagarh Jail along with 7 inmates on January 24.
Punjilal blew away at least two persons of Bholanathpada village of Balangir by parcel bomb on February 23 last year to avenge workplace enmity.
